One Of My Favorite Interracial Movies ... O

Okay...this isn't one of my favorites, but I did enjoy it. I thought it was a really good take on Othello (although I can't stand Shakespeare)

Told in a contemporary high school setting, Othello is now Odin James ('OJ') (Mekhi Phifer), star of the basketball team and the school's only African Americanstudent. Desdemona is Desi (Julia Stiles), the dean's daughter and Odin's girlfriend. Iago is Hugo (Josh Hartnett), the coach's steroid-addicted son, who plants seeds of doubt that fester in Odin's mind, leading them all to a tragically violent fate. Roderigo is Roger (Elden Henson), Hugo's best friend, a rich but troubled student who wants to go out with Desi. Cassio is Michael Cassio (Andrew Keegan), another basketball player and a close friend to both Odin and Desi. Emilia is Emily (Rain Phoenix), Desi's best friend and Hugo's girlfriend. Brabantio is Dean Brable (John Heard), the president of the school and Desi's father. The duke of Venice is the basketball coach, also known as Duke (Martin Sheen). Bianca (Rachel Schumate) is Brandy, Michael's love interest.

One Of My Favorite Interracial Movies ... Flirting

The first movie I saw Thandie Newton in. I've loved her every since.

Set in 1965, Flirting follows a free-spirited young man (Noah Taylor) who's an outcast at an Australian all-boys prep school. He meets a sophisticated South African girl (Thandie Newton) attending the school across the lake, and their interracial romance blossoms despite the intense prejudice they face. A beautiful and honest depiction of first love by director John Duigan, with outstanding performances by Taylor and Newton.

One Of My Favorite Interracial Movies ... Fools Rush In

I love this movie!!!

After meeting in a bathroom line in a local restaurant, Alex (Matthew Perry) and Isabel (Salma Hayek) find an instant connection and sleep together. Three months after their one-night stand in Las Vegas, Isabel finds Alex and tells him that she is pregnant. Alex and Isabel decide to get married. Problems soon arise as they meet each other's families, deal with work colleagues, and most importantly, get to know each other.

The major crisis in the movie is the couple learning to adapt to the culture of their new partners. Isabel is from a CatholicMexican American family, while Alex has a strait-laced WASP family.
